Nicholas Mansfield is a dancer, videographer, and artist based in Düsseldorf, Germany. After graduating with honors from The Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Dance, Nicholas transitioned to Germany where he has worked extensively over the past two decades. 

 

Nicholas is a principal dancer of NEUER TANZ, one of Germany's leading contemporary dance companies. He has been deeply involved in the creation and performance of the company's productions since 2004, including Revolver, Das Chrom, "12", Ein Abend mit Neuer Tanz, Das Lamm, Lichtbrechen, Yellow ist nicht Gelb, Neues Stück, Kurze Stücke, Le Sacre, Von mit nach t, and Rhein Neuer Tanz, Ballettre, o.T., Woodstock, Foyer No. 2. Nicholas has toured internationally with NEUER TANZ throughout Europe and Germany, sharing their innovative work with audiences worldwide.

 

In addition to his extensive career with NEUER TANZ, Nicholas has performed as a guest artist with prestigious companies and productions including Ruhrtriennale in the production Rubens und das nichteuklidische Weib. Prior to moving to Germany, he worked in Australia on projects such as Focus 4, Memoirs, Faust, and Julius Caesar with Opera Australia. Nicholas is a choreographer and videographer whose multimedia talents bring a unique perspective to performance.
